Lane Crawford’s eighth outpost in Greater China has just opened in Shanghai’s Time Square. Adding to stores across Hong Kong and Beijing, this is Lane Crawford’s eighth store since being established in Hong Kong in 1850. Offering over 500 designer collections, Lane Crawford is renowned for stocking niche international brands such as rag & bone, Jason Wu and Proenza Schouler. The flagship store also champions emerging Chinese talent, offering popular local designers such as Ms Min, Chictopia and Helen Lee. The Hub, a 10,000 sqft area dedicated solely to displaying new designers, is currently showcasing an exhibition by creative agency NeochaEdge, who are known for representing leading Chinese creative talents. To celebrate the flagship opening, Lane Crawford is offering an exclusive range of charity T-shirts, with net profits from their sale going directly to UNICEF CHINA. Designers such as Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu and Emilio Pucci were each asked to create an original T-shirt design to represent their impressions of Shanghai. – Babette Radclyffe-Thomas
