Currently the Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai is hosting the “A Dream I Dreamed” exhibition by Kusama Yayoi (or Yayoi Kusama). Offering a comprehensive review of Yayoi’s work over the last six decades, over 100 artworks are showcased including her kitsch pumpkin sculptures, iconic polka dots and a selection of her latest works. The exhibition is extremely interactive; the “Obliteration Room” encourages guests to stick colorful polka dot stickers anywhere in the stark white room, in turn creating a new artwork. This is the only location in China to host the solo exhibition and it runs through March 30, 2014. – Babette Radclyffe-Thomas
