Seventies Athleisure at Lacoste

New York: Lacoste presented a Seventies-inspired take on the athleisure trend with a nod to the Nineties with head-to-toe track suits. Brand-inspired graphics like “Rene did it first” argue the origins of the athleisure trend with the label marking themselves as originators. But despite the politics, the collection was cool and urban with a tailored sensibility. The track pants featured creases for a semi-formal appearance and there was a selection of suiting like a slim 2SB suit paired with a knit collar polo. Lacoste also offered great outerwear lead by long trench coats and wool overcoats over tracksuits. Graphic sweatshirts and windbreaker jackets rounded out the retro sport collection. – Matt Feniger
