New York: The golden hues of the waning summer, fading tans, and the changing of the seasons inspired See by Chloé’s latest offering. Rust, burnt orange, and a range of pinks were used to express the feeling of nostalgia for summer. The collection’s press release also cited London in the late 60s as a reference. Pleated dresses with a bohemian feel connected to the era, as did silver quilted nylon looks with a futuristic feel. But slouchy pleated pants and roomy trench coats were completely current. As sophisticated Chloé’s playful little sister, See by Chloé is expected to provide inspired casual items, and it did not disappoint. Standouts included bleached denim separates, boxy short-sleeved sweatshirts, and slouchy sweaters. Classic pencil skirts, tailored jackets, and floral printed separates rounded out the youthful offering.–Joanna Manganaro
