Sea Cruise/Resort 2013

New York: Though Sea was established way back in 2006 and is sold at stores including Barneys and Scoop, the label has only recently begun to receive wider recognition. The designers, Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan, wisely chose to keep it under-the-radar and avoid an overly ambitious publicity plan. Their low-key attitude is reflected in the label’s easy, breezy separates. Vintage-inspired button-front dresses, matched short sets, and feminine peplum tops are among the collection’s most covetable pieces. Playful leopard prints and stripes made items feel youthful and upbeat. Priced fairly and within reach, these are the clothes the real girls are wearing. –Joanna Manganaro
