Graphic art can take many different forms. The Stylesight team recently admired some of Vhils artworks which appeared a stones throw from our London office. These incredibly inspiring urban creations are the work of Alexandre Farto aka Vhils, an emerging young Portuguese street artist, who uses old forgotten walls and billboards to express his art.
Working with a variety of mediums which include wall carvings, billboards, prints, metal and other mixed media, Vhils cleverly explores his surroundings for inspirational backdrops and blank canvases. As well as his beautifully scratched and drilled plaster wall portraits Vhils has created some powerful pieces using old advertising hoardings which are torn to make fresh new images.
