Since 2009, Saturdays Surf has been NYC’s top/only surf/coffee shop, and now the three handsome lads behind this cult favorite have opened up a second location, in Tokyo’s Daikanyama district. The new store offers up the same carefully curated mix of surfboards, wetsuits, books, art, and knick-knacks, as well as their own coveted line of men’s apparel, from board shorts and T-shirts to khakis, jeans and hoodies. Saturdays Surf Tokyo will also feature an espresso bar and backyard hang out area, signature facets of the NYC store.
For the opening of the Tokyo store, Saturdays Surf has created a limited-edition run of three graphic tees, sure to become collector’s items. This ultra-wearable lifestyle brand was just nominated for GQ’s 2012 Best New Mens Designer Award and has also collaborated with the likes of mega-retailer J. Crew. Their second New York location is slated to open this summer in the West Village, but for now you’ll have to head to SoHo or Tokyo to get your surfer style on. xx Ashley Churchill
