In the midst of the hectic F/W 14 runway season, Finnish designer Sasu Kauppi releases his latest collection Sequel, inspired by `90s alien movies.

We’ve been keeping a close eye on Helsinki-based designer Sasu Kauppi since he wowed us with his Nordic black metal-inspired denim collection last F/W 13. The Central St Martin’s graduate returns with yet another ’90s cult reference for fall 14 with his collection Sequel, based on his childhood classic movies, Alien. Like his S/S 14 collections, a strong `90s theme runs throughout with leisurewear-inspired silhouettes like track pants, bomber jackets and concept caps – but with a darker direction. The newest assortments come in saturated dark denims with carefully shredded accents and clever nylon and sheer panelling that give the collection a futuristic and sci-fi edge.
