MILAN…For the Gucci women’s fall collection, Frida Giannini further developed the rock and roll Cossack wardrobe she showed last month for men. What this meant was many show-stopping pieces that the super-rich recession-proof Gucci faithful will no doubt love and be filling up the retail store wait lists to purchase as soon as possible. The key items included leather pants detailed with gold rings, shown with over-the-knee boots and a series of jackets that were either military parade-inspired or fur. There were boho look dresses also, both long and short with folk prints inspired by textiles from Uzbekistan. Statement necklaces and the new “Babushka” carpet bag are sure to fly off the shelves also.
