London: You can always depend on London for a good time. The fashion capital is a breeding ground for young designers in both ready-to-wear and intimates – especially ones with a little bit of a rebellious streak. Some of our favorite looks from LFW so far take a more understated route, however, eschewing overt displays of skin for ladylike underpinnings, elegant loungewear and classic resortwear.
From left to right: Paul Smith’s tomboy raids dad’s closet for his pajamas this season. Mark Fast works his signature seamless knits into of-the-moment midriffs. Daks creates the perfect beach cover up with this breezy button-front skirt. Erdem manages to make hot pants and bustier tops look prim and proper with sweet florals. Richard Nicoll explores sexy chemises in a collection inspired by nighties from the 60s. Temperley London channels 30s Hollywood in floor-grazing slips and kimonos.
