Here at WGSN the kidswear team are always wondering what Princess Charlotte our new mini style icon will be wearing next. The first outfit included a white bonnet, booties, and delicate handmade sweater set bought from Irulea, a clothing store in San Sebastian, Spain. Kate seems to have a preference towards British brands including Amaia Kids, Rachel Riley and Cath Kidston with a fresh combination of Spanish brands.
We have been tracking the nostalgia knit trend for a while and love the matching sets from brands including La Coqueta’s summer 2015 range and Misha and Puff’s bobble knit sets.
Prince George was pictured wearing Amaia Kids cardigan and socks, (one of Kate’s favourite brands) when he visited his little sister for the first time at the beginning of May. Amaia Kids have a gorgeous range of dresses, onesies and sets in a selection of cute floral prints, summer ginghams and soft pastels.
Underneath the cardigan, George donned a matching shirt and shorts set from Rachel Riley’s Heritage collection. After seeing the beautiful Rachel Riley A/W 15/16 collection at Bubble London back in January we are sure Princess Charlotte will be seen in a retro dungaree set or prim collared dress before too soon, a quintessentially British style. The bunny smock detail teamed with mini polka dots was a favourite of ours from the show.
