Roxy Music reform to headline European festivals


Nearly thirty years since the height of their fame, Roxy Music are to play the Sonar Music festival in Barcelona, Lovebox Weekender in London and Bestival in the Isle of Wight this summer. The British band, a paradigm of art rock, glam and the experimental pop scene of the 70s and early 80s, will be performing their hits (More Than This, Avalon, Love Is The Drug) to fans young and old. Alongside their huge influence on the music scene – having attained both critical and popular success – the bands love of costume and glamour is legendary.

Roxy Music has inspired legions of imitators in both fashion and music most recently tribute band Proxy Music. Popular on the East London scene. Proxy Music aim to recreate Roxy Music as they would have sounded and looked in 1973, playing only songs from the first three albums in full-make-up, glitter and sequins.
