Hotelier Ori Kafri brings a touch of modernism to the ancient city of Rome with the opening of J.K. Place Roma, his newest addition to the renowned J.K. Place bunch (the others are situated in Florence and Capri). Located a short walk from the Spanish Steps, this boutique hotel is housed in a preserved 17th-century building formerly home to the Architectural School of the Sapienza University of Rome. The luxury suites are complete with canopied rosewood beds, wood-paneled walls and bathrooms made from Italian marble. Whether or not you choose to stay the night, the rooftop bar boasts exquisite views of the historic city. A definite must for those traveling to Rome. –Sarah Ryan Hecht
