London: An unusually Spring-like pink is emerging as a key shade in many Fall collections this month, ranging from bubblegum to frosty rosé, colors which ran throughout Roksanda Ilincic’s latest show. While she was interested in offering a lighter take on the season, the designer also brought a sense of eccentricity to her runway, reflected in below-the-knee skirts and dresses crafted from PVC, long fluffy fur collars in an unnatural neon mint, twisted chain-link textures and stiff silhouettes. Ilincic’s message was pretty but unsettling, culminating in a series of pastel pink ensembles embellished with folk-y crystal patterns, their elegance subverted by witchy boots, flat white halo-style headpieces and haunting eye makeup—like nurses from a creepy fairytale.—Nina Stotler
