Spend a magical night being rocked to sleep by the Seine when you stay aboard the Bateau Johanna, a barge turned bed and breakfast that’s anchored just steps from the Musée d’Orsay and the Eiffel Tower in Paris’ charming Port de Solférino.
The owners purchased the stately Johanna over twenty years ago in Amsterdam, sailing it to Paris where it’s been docked ever since. With just two tiny guestrooms and a shared living area (in addition to the owners’ quarters), it’s not a big boat, but when lounging on deck with a croissant and a cup of coffee, it just might be the best breakfast spot in the city. And with rates starting at just €95 a night and a stellar location near tons of attractions, it’s also one of the cheapest, most unique places to stay in all of Paris.
