Paris: For fall, Marco Zanini took the girlish glam he’s created for Rochas in a boyish direction with 1940s military influences and elements of 1960s prep. Sturdy oversized coats, A-line skirts and fur garrison caps met with argyle sweaters and baseball tees to resemble a modern-day version of the Andrews Sisters. Bits of his signature youthful whimsy peeked out, however, in vibrant coral reef prints, off-proportioned suits, and the accessories: knit kerchiefs and summery open-toed slides. Bustier tops and swishy satin cocktail dresses rounded out the collection with a sophisticated sheen.
