With a collection marked by stellar hand-knit pieces, Louis Vuitton alumnus Risto Bimbiloski presented for the first time in New York this season. Inspired by natural disasters, Risto created fluid jersey caftans and bodysuits in lava and lightning prints. Dark neutrals were brought to life with jolts of orange, white and silver. While Bimbiloski’s efforts in cut-and-sew are not without merit, his talent truly lies in full-fashioned knits. Created by hand in his homeland of Macedonia, standout items included a knitted metallic jumpsuit and sweater shaped into a tailored jacket. One came away craving more of these unique pieces.
