Rihanna is set to launch her eagerly-awaited Fall 2013 collection in select River Island stores September 12th. The third installment follows the highly-publicized launch last Spring, solidifying RiRi as a modern fashion icon for the juniors’ set. Channeling a ‘90s hip-hop vibe, the 80 piece collection zeros in on key High Street trends – cropped sweaters, hooded dresses, mesh tops and camouflage everything. G4LIFE is emblazoned across sports jerseys, exposed waistbands and embossed leather jackets – paying homage to a song off of Rihanna’s fourth album – R Rated.The campaign, shot by Rihanna herself, features hand-picked models Ji Hye Park, Nayasha Kusakina, Milou Van Grossen, and Tati Cotliar. Set in an urban jungle of scaffolding and city traffic, the campaign reflects the “downtown with a hint of uptown” vibe that the clothes represent.
The collection ranges from about $15 for graphic bras and underwear to $300 for leather goods. Opening Ceremony will carry the collection for those who miss out on the online merch – which is sure to sell out again this go-around.
