Milan: Miuccia Prada presented her ’70s-inspired collection at Via Fogazzaro in a venue that was decked out in rust, deep pile carpet while the epicentre was filled with dunes of lavender coloured sand. The first silhouette – a double-breasted black coat wore contrast lines of topstitching traveling around oversized collars and highlighting construction seams, set the tone. A veritable haberdashery scene – edges of seams and hemlines were frayed and left raw on items that could have been cut from vintage materials – opulent damasks, brocades and rich flocking – all spliced, patch worked, and individually handmade. One of a kind. – Elle Hankinson
