SephoraAsia’s fast growth has made it the focus of many beauty brands intent on establishing a presence in the region.  Sephora especially, has pursued aggressive expansion from mainland China to Malaysia. According to WWD, Sephora will have 100 stores in China by the end of the year. Sephora has also launched its own reality TV show in China called Sephora Beauty Academy to build its Chinese audience. It began airing on July 28 and features 12 finalists from Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing competing against each other in a series of beauty challenges. The purpose of the show is to foster new talent and teach the Chinese audience about fashion and beauty. The winner will be crowned Sephora’s China Beauty Ambassador.

The Southeast Asian region is also expected to see huge growth. Sephora currently has 4 locations in Singapore with plans for up to 50 stores in the overall area.
