Relaxed luxury at Lanvin

Paris: Military and Seventies rock ‘n’ roll references co-mingled harmoniously throughout Lucas Ossendrijver’s new collection for the Parisian label. Pared-back military uniforms opened the show – jackets with flat pockets and tailored joggers were presented in dove grey mélange fabrics or Prince of Wales checks. A silhouette of generous proportions and feminine-inspired elements dominated throughout the lineup – sculptural coats came in bulky wools, tailored trousers were baggy and high-waisted and woven T-shirts sported exaggerated raglan sleeves. Looks were layered beautifully – knits over shirts and over knits again highlighted the Seventies vibe, while coats over parkas and bomber jacket over cropped ones cemented the idea of mixing sophisticated tailoring and casual functionality. – Diego Sanchez
