The handcrafted quality of up-cycling and DIY methods channeled by the jewelry line, Chocolate Rain, was a childhood vision of creative director, Prudence Mak. Her recent exhibition of “patchwork” jewelry made its way to Hong Kong Fashion Week, where her pieces were on display featuring mushroom-like installations.
With its growing popularity, these mixed media accessories were a result of collaborating with brands like Swarvoski, Levi’s and Luella Bartley. At such a young age, how was she to know that recycling would become the way of the future?
