Rebecca Taylor

TEXTURE STUDY
New York: Eschewing her signature ultra-femme aesthetic, Rebecca Taylor moved in a more modern direction this season with grown-up trousers, simple silk shirtdresses and molded wool coats. Texture contrasts played an important role in the collection; ensembles combined interesting materials like speckled tweed, quilted silk, delicate mesh and metallic jaquards. Along with the blue-heavy palette, dark, inky motifs added a moody feel to it all. — Anna Jane Davis
