New York: David Neville and Marcus Wainwright have transplanted their brand of English cool to New York, thoroughly conquering the local scene with on-trend seasonal shows and two downtown boutiques. For fall, the duo produced a more textural collection than usual, with artful layering and mixed patterns that never strayed into fashion victim territory. The Rag & Bone girl will be warm and cozy next season, wrapped up in Fair Isle knits, slim flannels and tweed suiting; pleated minis and tartan-trimmed knee socks kept it all young, as did key accessories like heeled hiking boots, wide belts and tightly wrapped scarves. A perfectly pitched look at what Juniors want to wear now, Rag & Bone will continue to inspire as their style matures.
