DUKE IT OUT
New York: This season David Neville and Marcus Wainwright were inspired by the catalog from the famous 1997 Sotheby auction of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s possessions. Photos in the volume revealed the way the Duke mixed various influences – like military, bespoke and hunting – in his everyday sartorial style. This unexpected approach at layering was reflected in a collection full of patrician tailoring and classic tartans, re-imagined with up-to-date proportions and attitude.
