Tennis star Rafael Nadal has made his debut as Tommy Hilfiger’s newest underwear model in a steamy video and print campaign for the brand.
Released on Tuesday, the video sees Nadal stripping down to his underwear in a locker room, before heading into the shower.
The 14-time Grand Slam winner was announced as the face of the new underwear collection in December, which focuses on new technical features such as a four-way stretch microfibre and a new waistband.
As part of his two-year contract, Nadal will also be the face of tailored clothing and the brand’s new men’s fragrance, TH Bold.
As of this autumn, Nadal will also be seen sporting nothing but a pair of boxer briefs in billboard ads around the world for the American brand.
The Spanish athlete made his first appearance as a brand ambassador on Tuesday with a game of strip tennis at Manhattan’s Bryant Park. He donned a tailored grey Tommy Hilfiger suit to challenge models including Chanel Iman and Constance Jablonkski to a game, during which, the penalty for losing a point was to remove a layer of clothing.
The campaign was streamed live on social media via Periscope so that people all over the world could watch.
