TRAVELS IN PLACE AND TIME
Canadian designer Rad Hourani has developed a personal design philosophy to make clothes that “come from no place, no time, no tradition.” His aesthetic is as directional as it is well-designed. The S/S 10 collection drew inspiration from a monochromatic and graphic palette of black, white and silver. As shown in a recent Stylesight Trend Tracker report on androgyny, the collection embodied an amalgam of masculine and feminine, with models marching towards the future in high heels, asymmetrical layers, hanging chain embellishments and sheer mesh knits. The graphic striped jackets were made from a technical material, perfect for the modern urban warrior.
