New York: Rachel Comey’s approachable yet still quirky aesthetic has won her a loyal group of fans – mostly artsy downtown types – who flooded to her show at Pier 59 on the chilly, windswept West Side Highway. Her signature prints – ikats, checks and texture motifs – were at their best this season, enhanced by striking color combinations. Prim skirts in both short and midi lengths and printed pants were standout pieces that are sure to please her hip followers.
