The Royal Wedding memorabilia is everywhere at the moment, from tacky mugs to overpriced fridge magnets. So as a breath of fresh air, Stylesight’s graphic team was excited to visit a recent art exhibition of alternative Royal Wedding invites.
The R.S.V.P.H.R.H show just off Brick Lane in London featured international visual artists working to create an alternative Royal Wedding invitation for Kate and William’s big day in April. The one-night event featured large-scale digital prints of the artworks on display. These were auctioned off with all profits going to the artist’s chosen charity.
Contributors included: Alison Carmichael, Aniela Murphy, Animals of Death, Andy Smith, Billie Jean, Craig Ward, Crispin Finn, David Stewart, David Wilson, Nick Meek, Ed James, Jesse Auersalo, Kristofer Strom, Kyle Bean, Melvin Galapon, Mark Polyblank, Pomp de Franc Cake Society, Richard Hogg, Shaw and Shaw, Si Scott Studio, Timba Smits, Kyle Bean, Village Green Studio, Zara Wood and more.
Stylesight’s graphic team loved the range of mediums; the exhibition provided a unique opportunity for artists to explore this, the biggest national event in a generation. For more info on the R.S.V.P.H.R.H show visit their site.
