Generated from the belief that environmental awareness can coexist with fashion, R.E.U.S.E. will debut its collection of eco-friendly jeans constructed from 80% recycled fabric in the spring of 2010. Combining “ecology with technology,” R.E.U.S.E. JEANS recycles fabric from the textile waste stream to manufacture ecologically friendly jeans with minimal amounts of new material. Also economically friendly, all of the jeans cost below $100. The label will include denim styles such as the classic 5-pocket and skinny jeans, finished with special wash treatments and handcrafted detailing. R.E.U.S.E. also selected DyStar’s eco-friendly dyes that avoid the use of harsh chemicals.
