Pringle of Scotland

Milan: Alistair Carr’s second collection for Pringle of Scotland was a combination of tradition and modern edge. Monochrome ensembles of classic items like pleated trousers and snug turtleneck had a Mid-Century feel in tones of camel and inky blue. A range of dimensional sweaters stole the show, showcasing hefty yarns, new textures, bold colors and super-sized Tartan intarsia motifs. Slim, sharp tailoring met with quirky separates like cropped leather moto pants, brightly-hued outerwear and knit leggings — a must-have item of F/W 12. Duo-tone Chelsea boots added to the Mid-Century vibe.   —Anna Jane Davis
