London: This season’s Pringle collection offered a grab bag of current trends. The show opened with a poncho that seemed to be inspired by traditional Central American weaving, then went on to include angular color blocked minimalist pieces and 1970s-style flared trousers. Black leather panels toughened up outerwear, while horizontal stripes of fur gave a sweater coat a feeling of offbeat luxury. Slim cropped trousers were a smart complement to the more complicated sweaters and ethnic woven tops. While the collection seemed all over the map at times, designer Clare Waight Keller touched on many of the season’s trends, making her collection feel relevant and of-the-moment.
