When we heard “The Bra Lady”, Liz Smith, was going to be at the Wacoal press preview a few weeks ago, we knew we had to attend. Along with previewing spring collections from Wacoal and B.Tempt’d, we also got to experience a bra fitting and learned that we, just like 8 out of 10 women, are wearing the wrong bra size. Luckily, Liz Smith was there to right our wrongs and give us a checklist of the eight bras every woman should have in her lingerie drawer:
Seamless, unlined bra
T-Back or racerback bra
Push-up or minimizing bra (depending on your figure type)
Drop dead sexy bra
Highlights from the new Wacoal collection include the Halo bra, a practical yet provocative underwire bandeau (pictured at the top), and the revolutionary iPant, a shaper short that virtually reduces cellulite thanks to Novarel Slim® technology. The compression nylon microfiber is encapsulated with active ingredients – caffeine, retinol, ceramides, vitamin E and aloe vera – that are released in response to friction from the skin. The fabric is also hypoallergenic, and ingredients remain effective for up to an unheard-of 100 washes.
The new collection from B.Tempt’d – Wacoal’s more fashion-oriented, youthful line – features a range of enticing underpinnings, from sexy bustiers to lacy underwires. With its sinuously patterned mesh and longline silhouette, the Lace Kiss bralette is on our personal “drop dead sexy” wishlist for spring.
