Barazandeh – The lone hosiery label on our shortlist, this Paris-based brand draws from exotic traditions to create one-of-a-kind legwear and gloves bedazzled with a poetic flourish.
Horror Vacui – The name may sound macabre, but the vision is compelling and the execution, flawless. Latin for “fear of empty spaces,” Horror Vacui fills their exquisitely cut cotton and silk pajamas with artful prints and luxurious details.
Iris London – Ellie Simpson-Gray combines British sartorial traditions with cultural touchstones ranging from the Hollywood Golden Age to ’70s documentary photography to craft a collection that epitomizes contemporary elegance.
Jolies mômes – Luxurious French fabrics and construction techniques are funneled into modern undergarments that beg to be seen.
Love Stories – An intriguing mood book is all that exists so far of this Dutch brand. Inspired by real people, places, encounters and stories. If the dreamy ink wash paintings, crafty collages and glitter-covered pages are any indication, then we want to know more.
N.SENS – A student of haute couture, Takasaki Seina fuses Japanese craft with French sophistication to give women, from mother to daughter, exactly what they want.
Paloma Casile – Perhaps the most accomplished of the group, Paloma Casile channels her experience at some of the finest French lingerie houses into innovative bodywear that is editorial-friendly and highly functional.
Pretty Wild – Firouze Akhbari puts a pretty, sweet spin on leather and fetishwear with frilly embroidered fleurettes and the most luxurious laces in the world.
