Last week we had the opportunity to stop by the Title of Work showroom, where designer Jonathan Meizler offered us a sneak peak at his latest men’s neckwear designs for F/W 13. Reflecting Meizler’s background in art and high-end women’s evening wear, Title of Work’s trademark aesthetic is intellectual and meticulously executed. The line’s unique materials and details appeal to fashionistos and art-lovers, while restrained color palettes and silhouettes make it accessible to more streamlined sophisticates.
A theme of “spiritual and sexual iconography” runs through Meizler’s latest collection, as exemplified by religious and sexually suggestive ornaments and motifs. In addition to thoughtfully applied hardware and embellishment — grommets, chains, rosaries and charms —, innovative materials — tulle, organza and spray-on rubber — further define looks for F/W 13.
