When we stopped by the Louis Vuitton FW11 press preview in London last week we got up close and personal with the fetish-inspired accessories collections, super luxe monogrammed leather goods and a few unusual creatures to boot.
The shearling handbags, restrictive waist belts, handcuffed clutches and Peter Pan collar neckpieces stood against the backdrop of some of Jacobs’ ready to wear pieces from the FW 11 collection. Refined classics and new contemporary men’s bags were offset by faded animal print scarves.
Alongside the seasonal collection, sat 4 bespoke accessory animals created by artist Billie Achilleos, each with it’s own function; the Chameleon – for color, the Beaver – for functionality, the Armadillo – for material strength, and the Grasshopper – for sound, of zips and press studs.
