Design duo Alexa Adams and Flora Gill produced a collection of “uniforms” for the modern urban warrior woman. Softly draped layers of “chain mail” knit often pulled together by zippers, or embellished with metal details, created a silhouette that clung to the body as though it were that protective first layer worn underneath armor. In a tight palette of dark woods and smoke blacks, body-consciousness was the focus with bandage dresses and skinny pants that were slit at the knee. Stretch wool cowl-neck sweaters were worn with stylized jodhpurs. Accessorizing the collection was a series of boots and shoes covered in spikes and chains, reminiscent of those seen last season from another favorite design duo…
