Each season, in addition to our in-depth catwalk reviews at WGSN, we spotlight the early trends that are coming through.

Right now we’re in the middle of Pre-Fall 2016 and key themes are already emerging from the shows.

Spotted at No. 21, 3.1. Phillip Lim, Fendi, Alexander Wang and Diesel Black Gold, it was all about Urban Street with its “relaxed, youthful silhouette”, heralding in a laid-back attitude for Pre-Fall 16.

Key items: Oversized outerwear pieces such as leather jackets, fur vests and oversized coats are layered over boyfriend trousers, cropped wide-leg bottoms or 1990s slip dresses, creating a cool downtown vibe. Ladylike accessories add a sophisticated twist.
