LONDON…PPQ is often a riot of energy in the London catwalk week, drawing all of the most visible local young celebrities and traditionally throwing one of the most raucous parties of the season. This exuberance is often reflected in the clothing and for F/W 09 the designers seemed particularly ebullient, throwing together bright tones of mint, grape and shocking orange, as well as a mixture of stripes and plaid. However, some of the pieces came across as frumpy, such as the tiered ruffle dress and the silk ruffle bib blouse. Jackets were standouts, including the embroidered cape and cropped buffalo plaid zip up. Don’t miss PPQ for a uniquely young, British perspective on fashion.
