Last Thursday evening, NYC-based brand Pour La Victoire held a special launch party for their S/S 13 collection.
After an intensive revamp which included new partnerships, branding and design team appointments, the festivities were an excellent way to unveil all of the recent efforts and investment.
Perfect for a summer evening, the brand’s showroom is located in a lovely open penthouse space complete with a rooftop, where the crowd mingled and marveled at the new collection with refreshments and hors d’ oeuvres.
The collection brings a refreshing new approach to textures and mixed materials. We especially loved the lower and mid heels, which seem to have been made with the NYC girl in mind. Water snake patterns are prominent, as is patent in soft colors. PLV also favored single sole constructions for sandals and pumps, although I’m sure their best selling platform pumps will be back next season in fresh colors. Overall, a great start to a new chapter and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for us next season. -Jenn Tello
