Nature was the starting point for designer Tia Cibani at Ports 1961. Her color palette consisted of delicate tones of Dawn, Conch, Oyster and Cloud. The ocean inspired marbled ripple effects for printed blouses that were tucked into pleated tropical wool or linen-blend trousers. Lightweight double-layer moiré organza was used for sheer coats that veiled shapely shift or straight sheath dresses. High-gloss lacquered velvet was tinted in soft pastels that evoked rose petals. Clear vinyl was used for both belts and statement necklaces, exposing silky fabric beneath.
