Heading to the Metropolitan Pavilion this weekend for Playtime NY? As well as 150 brands to check out, there will be trend space and art installations relating to the show’s theme, movement.
So where do you start? These four brands are either new or in the US for the first time and although they’ve only got a couple of seasons under their belt, they’re all doing things worth getting excited about…
1. Kin Studio. Launching it’s S/S 2016 collection at Playtime NY, this brand started out in women’s design and has now moved into the kids sector with simplistic organic garments for girls.
2. L’Enfant Sauvage is a Spanish brand, now in its thrid season, showcasing their playful graphics for three month to six-year-olds for the first time.
3. Lucas du Tertre. Not heard of this influential French brand? You will soon – it’s looking to saturate the US kids market with its lively items for kids from two- to 10-years-old.
4. Costumini. This brand originally specialised in costume design but have now delved into kidswear, merging costume ideas with wearable apparel for babies to six-year-olds.
