Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Steelers donned throwback jerseys on game day against the Washington Redskins to celebrate its 80th season as one of America’s oldest football teams. It’s quite obvious the Active Team would be all over this factor…throwback jerseys are some of our favorite uniforms, providing inspiring direction for future kits!
Designed by Nike, the throwback uniforms are replicas of jerseys first created in 1934, which have never been worn since that season. Contrasting black and yellow stripes (with placement on socks too!) stood out in a haze of players trying to get their hands on the ball this past Sunday.
The Steelers, who like the rest of the NFL this season, have also been wearing the new Nike Elite 51 uniforms to a sea of outstanding popularity with fans. (Us too of course!) From cleats to apparel, we’ve been following Nike’s development over the past few years. Thus far every Sunday has been exciting to see teams play in such highly technical performance wear.
Keep ’em coming, because we’re ready for more! #Fastisfaster
