Our team of experts were in Paris last week, trolling the maze-like halls of Premiere Vision (the 3 day event showcasing everything from apparel to textiles and fabrics) to catch those all important trends for the A/W 16/17 season. Here we’ve spotlighted our top three not-to-miss print and pattern trends for the approaching season.

Unfinished Florals:

Unfinished florals continue for another season as the work-in-progress look highlights the beauty in the handcrafted process. Studios leave visible outlines, untidy strokes and incomplete sections.  The humble pencil materialises as the go-to-medium for these raw and romantic florals.

Cuban Jungle:

Lush leaves and palm fronds layer and overlap, creating a dense jungle print.  The time-worn vibrancy of Old Havana inspires a faded palette, for a subtle retro throwback to this commercial tropical favourite.

Prairie Patterning:

Delicate florals and pretty paisleys adorn border prints on fresh white grounds, creating a move on from the popular 1970s trend. A perfect story for the spring drop, or, for a soft festival look.
