Collage art has been around since the 1920s, but the Stylesight Graphics team spotted Dawn Gardner’s artwork on our research travels and thought her versions were intriguing.
Gardner creates her prints and graphics both by hand and digitally, incorporating images from vintage magazines, her own photographs and old books to craft modern collages. We love how she combines images of alpine landscapes with bold geometric patterns and arranges them in curious compositions.
The muted, coral reds and soft greys make for a perfect vintage color palette.
To see more of Gardner’s work up close, visit her stand at One Year On at New Designers between July 4-7, 2012, or you can visit her online portfolio at dawngardnerdesign.com.
