PF Flyers celebrated their 75th year of authentic American style last night, letting Stylesight sneak a peek at their Limited Edition Capsule Collection for the event. We loved the offering, including the Center Hi, Grounder II, and Windjammer in unbleached canvas and natural veg-tanned leather.
Hosted by the Bowery Diner in the Lower East Side of New York, the event stuck to its New England roots with a fresh offering of seafood complete with a handcraft beer brewing demonstration led by Luke Garro of Antler. Following in the PF Flyer’s tradition of creating an exceptional experience with the finest quality of ingredients, the American Farmhouse Ale components offered a truly artesian insight (right down to the crazy bitter hops we tasted!)
The Anniversary Capsule will be available be available in limited quantities in May at select retailers including Boston’s The Tannery, Kith NYC, and LA’s American Rag, to name a few. Along with these limited edition kicks, we spotted additional pleasers in the Fall ’12 Collection. We especially loved the iconic deck look in the traditional Windjammer, still looking fresh in a heather grey denim since its 1965 original release.
Whether its the this week’s great NYC weather or we’re simply ready to shed those winter boots for some light-n-easy lace ups, PF Flyer‘s got Stylesight in the mood for some classic kicks to cop this spring. -Calvy Click
