London: Following on from their Fall/Winter collection inspired by board games, Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos showcased a strong trans-seasonal collection with an ancient whimsical feel, shot against Neolithic Avebury Stone Circle. There were pieces to take on an early spring holiday, like maritime poplin dresses with cloqué sleeves and an off-shoulder peasant blouse underlining Aegean summer ease. Embroidery of folkloric discs and wavy lines along with sun-bleached stripes adorned silhouettes and were reminiscent of the duo’s graphic sensibility, outlining their retreat from digital prints. The collaboration with Ancient Greek Sandals – colourful gladiator sandals embellished with sleek metal hardware – echoed the spirit of the collection. “The partnership with the brand had definitely an effect on how the collection turned out, as we were working on this at the same time” indicated Pilotto. Graphic femininity, double-layered knits  and the brands signature technical jacquards worked as more substantial pieces within the presentation. – Christa Kaufmann
