L’Oreal Professionnel and MAC created cute-yet-dark otherworldly muses at Peter Pilotto S/S 14.
It was organized pandemonium backstage at Peter Pilotto’s S/S 14 show at London Fashion Week. Lead Artists from around the world were on hand with expert hair and face kits to help transform models into the otherworldly muses.
L’Oréal Professionnel Lead Hair Artist Anthony Turner created doll-inspired hairstyles and was inspired by artist Mark Ryden‘s dark-yet-sweet illustrations. Turner created childlike hair with a center-part, over-sprayed with hairspray – a style that “looks like the girls created it themselves.”
As for makeup, MAC Lead Artist Lucia Pica was inspired by the collections theme: light, lofty art. She created a futuristic, ethereal girl, creating faces that looked “not real and a bit like plastic.” A perfect match to the doll theme.
To off-set the look, Pica made the lips electric lilac, orange and pink to add extra interest.
