I was texting with a friend last night who just this week moved to Berlin about how much fun we had during the recent Spring/Summer ’08 collections in New York. She left New York near the end of September, and so the week of the collections was really the last time we hung out. We went to loads of shows and parties – in the Bryant Park tents and all over town – but both agreed that one of our favorite events was the Pegah Anvarian presentation at Hotel QT on Sept. 10th. Anvarian’s admiration for legendary photographer Guy Bourdin (one of my personal favorites) was on full display as the models lounged decadently by the pool in jewel-toned cotton jersey splendor. It really was one of those rare events that managed to conjure up a bit of late 70’s/Studio 54 magic – we felt like we were filming a scene from The Eyes Of Laura Mars! Anyhoo, I never got the chance to share my photos from this special event so I decided to post a few of them today. Please pardon my nostalgia…
