New York: Patrik Ervell is adept at playing with new proportions and shapes for menswear, and always uses some of the most innovative materials around. This time the designer successfully fused time-honored workwear elements like denim shirts (worn with a clipped web belt) and heavy canvas Dickies-like pants with industrial materials like PVC and latex. Showing in a raw space with excellent natural light is very important to Ervell, and the setting worked well with all of the translucent layers. Rubberized raincoats and sweaters with cotton epaulets further closed the gap between utilitarian form and futuristic fantasy.
